YOUTH BRIGADE
artist: YOUTH BRIGADE (Washington DC, USA)
venue: O'Banion's
location: Chicago, Illinois, USA
date: 03 August 1981
length: 27 minutes
HERE
Just over 20 of their 27 minutes on stage were spent playing songs, the rest of the time was complaining about mirror balls and the lights and about how no one was dancing...including a solid minute of whining after the first 0:36 second song was complete. Loose, unhinged, hardcore. Sharing the bill were MINOR THREAT and NECROS.

HÜSKER DÜ
artist: HÜSKER DÜ (Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, USA)
venue: 1st Avenue
location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
date: ?? 1985
length: 64 minutes
HERE
A pre-Candy Apple Grey recording featuring a healthy selection of tracks from Flip Your Wig and New Day Rising, this is probably from 30 January 1985 though the set list differs slightly form listings online and a few scattered videos. Not an impossible to find artifact, and well past their well documented hardcore fury, but this recording is still shit hot fire....and dropping a four plus minute version of the Elvis standard "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care)" near the end of the set when you know the punks wanted something to slam dance to is a straight baller move.
