Live D.O.A. in the early '80 was just on another level. Only time I've seem them was in 2019 - huge stage, zero ambiance, every excuse to be a boring version of something that used to be interesting, you know? They fucking destroyed.

CRAMPS
venue: Paradiso
date: ??
length: 14 minutes
HERE
No idea when this was recorded (I mean, it was early), but it's probably the coolest sounding live CRAMPS I have heard. The fuzz and distortion is flawless. "Teenage Werewolf" has never sounded better. Probably should have combined this and the KROQ interview. Didn't. Don't care. Enjoy.

I remember the first time I heard "Ever Fallen In Love" and it was a serious moment. I think it was the 'These People Are Nuts!' comp (which - in retrospect - holy fukkn shit what a banger, but maybe it was something else. Anyway, that song is perfect and this recording is brilliant.

venue: ??
location: Los Angeles, California, USA
date: 1982
length: 34 minutes

I think these tracks might come from two different sets. Also, I work with a dude who was "around" in the San Francisco heyday of the late '70s and early '80s and he talks about random shows and bands alot and he mentioned 45 GRAVE a few days ago and I acknowledged that I had never really fucked with them and then that night I saw a flyer for an upcoming Oakland show with ALTAR DE FEY (update: it's tomorrow) and then later that night I ripped this tape and....well, I think I need to attend that show.

X
artist: X (Los Angeles, California, USA)
venue: Club Foot
location: Los Angeles, California, USA
date: 16 November 1982
length: 89 minutes
HERE
I'm constantly conflicted on X simply because history hasn't treated their fan base (or their vocalist) well, but goddamn this recording (their recordings) are brilliant. As great as the Club Foot recording is, hold fast until the handful of KBFH tracks recorded in 1984 please....you'll thank me. You're welcome.
