So many bands played Mission Records in the early '00s. Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon there were local bands no one had heard of, touring bands who weren't yet well known but who would become famous, there miscreants and dirtbags and edge kids and teenagers and middle aged tweakers and posit-fastcore bands and stoner sludge bands. Many of the shows were totally "whatever" of course, but there were more than enough life affirming moments to keep us all coming back.
